Description and Rules

  • You must collect winky in every level that has him and ride him into the exit or the winky bonus game, you must also collect 3 winky tokens and collect the giant golden winky in the minigame.
  • Using a game over to obtain winky tokens before the run is not allowed.


Warp To Reptile Rumble

  • This will be the first and easiest warp for getting into the category and will take you near the end of reptile rumble. Complete Reptile Rumble and Coral Capers before moving on to Barrel Cannon Canyon.
  • In 1-5 you will want to grab 2 Winky tokens if going with this route. The 3rd you will grab in the bonus at the end of Rope Bridge Rumble.
  • Complete World 1 and move on to World 2
  • Complete the second half of Torchlight, and move on to the final Winky in Rope Bridge Rumble.
  • You only have to take Winky to the bonus at the end of the stage at the tires. Here you will collect the final Winky token, which will take you to the Winky Bonus Room.
  • Timing ends when you collect the giant golden Winky at the end of the bonus room.

The Bouncy Route

  • This and the optimal route are about on par with each other for difficulty, it is suggested that if you are going to learn either route it should be the optimal one. Though the warps in this one could be considered less difficult to achieve.

  • This category can be both hard and as difficult as you want to make it, take it at your own pace and skill level.
  • This guide assumes you are familiar with the speedrun, and is just a more detailed explanation of the tricks. Watch the original recording when needed to reference the movement at your own pace.
  • The optimal route only works on 1.0 DKC U, and it is highly recommended to run it on 1.0. Though there are ways to get a route to work on 1.1, but this does not include the optimal route and it's warps.
