Old Route

Notes

  • The 2nd half of the video shows an unrelated Low% strategy.
  • Rambi Double Jump
  • The first jump with Rambi is really tight.
  • Use the slope to clash the beetle against itself, in order to set up the ID with the balloon. This is done by repressing Y while sliding down the slope.
  • You will fall off if you are holding right while throwing the invisible barrel when on the balloon.
  • At the very end, if you jump too high, you will get a Dixie fanfare attempting the last hover.

Move Your Signpost™️ - Basic RTA Route

The Start

  • 0:08; Landing kinda far left here makes sure that the balloon is nice and low when you're trying to glide over it.
  • 0:18; This jump is probably the hardest part of the stage.
  • 0:23; grabbing the second banana is a safe and fast visual cue for when to jump.

Move Your Signpost™️

  • Dismount Rambi before going past the signpost. If you're insecure about the timing you can always do a safety glide to position yourself.
  • Beetle clash against the slope to get the invis. Sometimes the beetle survives and runs away, that doesn't matter a whole lot (see backup below).
  • Jump up to the platform and position yourself right in the little dent in the ground. Your positioning here is really the only precise part of the trick.
  • Stand still, press DOWN and release Y, bingo.

After the Glitch

  • Running right and jumping up to the platform here makes the next part free. Let go of the D-Pad while up against the slope, or you'll lose all of your hard earned speed.
  • 0:43 position yourself as far right as possible on the balloon and count three charges before jumping.
  • At the end; Double jump and dismount Rambi, make sure you touch the ground before jumping on the goal to avoid the fanfare

Optimized

  • 0:30; fast clash against the slope, basically don't press any direction while clashing and you'll do it a lot faster.
  • After spawning the signpost roll down onto rambi. it's pretty finnicky to get the full speed on this roll and it could mess up your positioning while putting down the invis if you're not careful.
  • 0:33; instead of running right, start charging immediately, you need to bonk these slopes just right to not lose all your speed or miss the balloon and die.
  • 0:49; this dismount is kinda tight, too early and you die, too late and you get the fanfare. And then team-up goal or crotch-goal(shown below).
