Any%

General notes (same for all videos)

  • A wall climb is used to get faster hits on Kaos. Make sure to move far enough left to have sufficient room to perform the team throw for the first hit. A visual cue is indicated below (image to be added).
  • You can start hitting Kaos for the second time once its first head starts moving down. By running to the right side of Kaos and teaming up at the spot indicated below (image to be added), you can time this hit as early as possible.
  • K. Rool hits 3 through 6 are the same in all videos. Notes on these hits are only posted under the safe video.
  • The intermediate fight is approximately 4 seconds faster than the safe fight. The optimal fight is approximately 2.25 seconds faster than the intermediate fight.
  • Make sure to imitate K. Rool's scream when he gets electrocuted.

Safe

Notes

  • Make sure to not pick up the barrel at 0:53 until K. Rool is completely to the right of the Kongs. If K. Rool is not immediately hit upon turning around, you can either walk to the right until you hit K. Rool or throw the barrel.
  • At 1:18 ideally you want to hit K. Rool in such a way that he flies past the leftmost lever. In the video K. Rool got hit a little bit early, which means you have to time the jump onto the leftmost lever. If you want to be safe, you can wait for K. Rool to pass the lever on his way right and then jumping on it.
  • At 1:27 K. Rool can only be hit once he has fully turned around. You can also throw the barrel for safety.
  • The hover onto the right platform at 1:43 is easier than it looks. This allows you to get an early hit on K. Rool.
  • Make sure to delay the barrel throw with Dixie at 1:48 to ensure K. Rool flies to the right of the lever. By holding B after throwing the barrel, Dixie will automatically start hovering.
  • At 1:58 make sure to not start throwing the barrel until K. Rool has turned around. You can hit him on the back swing.
    • If K. Rool hits the lightning right below the lever, it is better to glide back to the left platform and wait a cycle.
  • K. Rool can still hit you after the final hit. Be careful collecting the bonus coin, especially if you have one Kong.

Intermediate

Notes

  • At 0:50 it is possible to immediately hit K. Rool when picking up the barrel if you pick up the barrel early enough. However, if you pick up the barrel too early it will break.
  • To get the second hit, start your jump from the spot indicated below and throw the barrel to the left from the peak of your jump.

  • At 2:07 make sure to hit K. Rool before he turns around. It is better to be too aggressive and lose a Kong here than to be too careful and miss the hit.

Optimal

Notes

  • The first hit on K. Rool at 0:51 saves about 0.3 seconds over the intermediate video. Make sure to hug the wall for a bit before moving right when jumping over K. Rool.
  • To get the second hit, start your jump from the spot indicated below and throw the barrel upwards.
