Optimal
- The roll at 0:09 is buffered in the video, creating more downward momentum which allows Kiddy to get in 3 rolls before reaching the Bristles. This is equally fast as not buffering the downwards roll and doing 2 rolls before reaching the Bristles. In the latter case, delay your second roll a bit to avoid getting hit.
- At 0:13 roll into the wall to avoid getting hit by the fire ball. This does not lose time as you have to wait for the elevator.
- If the roll through the Bristles stops immediately after rolling through the second Bristle, you have to wait out the fire ball to avoid getting hit.
- Jumping across horizontal ropes is faster with Kiddy. If you are Dixie, you can stay on the rope.
- The roll at 0:37 is buffered for a modest speed boost. If you are Dixie, the speed boost will be more significant.
- To get the damage boost onto the rope at 1:09, do a full jump from the line on the ground indicated below:
- The roll at 1:16 is buffered to get through the final fire balls quickly. If you do not feel comfortable with this roll or if you don't get a fast roll, check below for an alternative.
- At 1:19 jump off the ledge instead of walking off. If you walk off, Dixie may start hovering mid-air.

Notes
- You can skip a fire ball cycle by doing a right/left wiggle when you pick up the rightmost banana at 0:02. A good indication of a successful attempt is if the camera significantly pans to the right. This is quite lenient.
- If you do not feel comfortable going for the buffered roll at the end or don't get a fast roll, you can hover and land to the right of the second fireball to make it to the goal post.
