Because there are so many possible Jumprolls in this stage, there are many ways this could go down.

Important notes;

  • Initiate all the Jumprolls with "Y" TAPS, because sometimes you could get a double explosion. In which case a regular "Y" Push won't work.
  • A Double explosion is when the hit animation is doubled.
  • When you get a double explosion Jumproll, It's important to not re-press "Y" while in mid-air too early. If you do, You'll cancel the Jumproll with a regular roll, drop down, and die. which sucks.

First Bird (Single Explosion)

First Entry;

  • Grab the warp, swap kongs as soon as possible after.
  • The jump over the Orangutang is rather awkward. It's kind of a medium jump.
  • Swap Kongs
  • Watch the Orangutang's animation for a visual que for when to enter the bonus barrel. After you take damage you might have to bounce on the guy depending on how early or late you enter the barrel.

Second Entry;

Jumprolls

Notes:

  • This video showcases all the relevant jumprolls for this level. 4 are before the midway, 1 is right at the midway, and 1 is after midway.
  • Ideally, you hit the 1st jumproll and the 5th jumproll.
  • The 3rd jumproll requires a camera manipulation. Otherwise, the bird isn't in the right spot.
  • The last jumproll saves barely any time, but typically is still worth going for.
  • You can roll out of most of these jumprolls to save a bit of time, but it risks death.
