Notes:

  • There are a lot of enemies to roll through in this stage, so there are many opportunities to abuse Jump Momentum Conservation as well. Right at the beginning it's used 3 times through the beaver and the 2 sets of Krems.
  • Oil drums are a little tricky in this game. If the oil drum is hovering over a pit, you can buffer a jump on them, even while the flame is active. Otherwise you either have to be sure not to jump on them when the flame is active, or do a frame perfect jump on them if you don't want to take damage.
  • Rolling off the small platform at 0:12 can give you a dead roll a lot of the time, so it can be better to just jump out of it early like in the video. Up to you though.
  • You can't roll directly into the barrel at 0:16 - you need to jump before touching the ledge. This is more lenient if you use Jump Momentum Conservation, which in this case just involves jumping into the barrel without having B held.
  • The sequence of Krems at 0:20 can be tricky to navigate. If you opt to roll through each one like in the video, you need to do a min jump pretty much immediately after each roll. Alternatively you can bounce on them.
  • The oil drum at 0:32 can be a pain. Usually, you either have to wait for it (or try to do a frame perfect jump on it if you're crazy), but you can also do a camera manip such that you land on the oil drum right before the flame becomes active. To do this, face left at the bottom of the slope prior to the 2 Krems (as seen in the video), then roll through both of them and have clean movement leading up to the oil drum to beat the cycle. It's important that you face left for long enough, and it's also important that you face left far enough to the right to make it onto the oil drum in time.
  • Jumping on the flame of the last oil drum in the stage is very tricky. Since this one isn't over a pit, you can't just simply buffer a jump on it. What you need to do is buffer your jump while you're still over the pit, so that by the time you land on the oil drum you still get your jump to come out. To achieve this, it's ideal to try to bounce off the tire and land on the left side of the oil drum.
