Old Route

Notes

  • The 2nd half of the video shows an unrelated Low% strategy.
  • Rambi Double Jump
  • Use the slope to clash the beetle against itself, in order to set up the ID with the balloon. This is done by repressing Y while sliding down the slope.
  • You will fall off if you are holding right while throwing the invisible barrel when on the balloon.
  • At the very end, if you jump too high, you will get a Dixie fanfare attempting the last hover.

Safer Signpost Route

Notes This stage is still real hard.

  • at 0:10 Don't be scared of bouncing off the guy, just jump on him while holding RIGHT + Y. Charge with Rambi and cancel the charge after the Zinger, kill the klobber, then line up Rambi's horn with the very edge of the platform, charge, Release the charge and Jump immediately.
  • at 0:18 Rambi Double jump over the wisp of steam after the 3rd bounce. Charge on the balloon and jump when you've collected 2 of the bananas.
  • at 0:25 cancel the charge after the 2nd guy, dismount Rambi near the signpost and glide onto the beetle.

Move your signpost

  • Grab the beetle.
  • Walk to the right and jump up to the platform.
  • Walk off the platform, holding left when you've gone over the edge.
  • Quickly release and repress Y to make an invis.
  • Walk to the exact location the video shows.
  • Face Right, stand still, Hold down, release Y. Nice Run.

Optimal - Move Your Signpost™️

Move Your Signpost™️

  • Dismount Rambi before going past the signpost. If you're insecure about the timing you can always just glide momentarily to get the proper position, or just straight up land on the ground and jump onto the beetle.
  • Grab the beetle
  • Beetle clash against the slope to get the invis. Sometimes the beetle survives and runs away, that doesn't matter. As long as you have the invis.
  • Jump up to the platform and position yourself right in the little dent in the ground. Your positioning here is really the only precise part of the trick.
  • Stand still, press DOWN and release Y, bingo. IF the beetle survived the clash when you got the invis then you need to wait before the beetle leaves the screen, or the trick won't work.
  • The part right after can be finnicky, you want to charge into that wall and delay your jump momentarily. If it's not just right you'll either miss the balloon or lose all speed. If you lose all speed just run up and jump onto the balloon. If you maintain speed but miss the balloon you can make it out alive (video to be made). If you don't want to deal with any of that just walk up to the next platform and do a charge jump. (video to be made)
  • Be cautious of the double jump after the signpost part, because you might not land on top of the platform. Below is a backup that might work.
  • If you land to the farthest possible right on the last balloon, jump out of it briefly after 3 of Rambi's charges. You could also use Rambi's horn and the background for visual cues.
  • At the end; Wiggle the d-pad and dismount, land and then team-up goal. The timing can be precise so if you're insecure you can dismount pretty early, glide and then jump onto the goal. In that case it's important you touch the ground first so you don't get the fanfare (loses a few seconds).
