The only level with just one DK barrel. If you take damage after the midpoint, you have to go back to a previous level to get your buddy back.

Any%

  • Unlike Mine Cart Carnage, it's never faster to jump in this level. The mine cart inherits your speed for 1 frame upon landing in it, and while holding right doesn't actually change your position, it does change your speed value. This means that holding right as you enter the cart will cause it to move forward 2 pixels compared to not pressing anything, which can save a few frames throughout the level.
  • At 0:08 it's worth getting gravity glitch on the way into the cart, this will cause it to float off the ledge and land further to the right on the up slope, skipping some of the slower steeper part.
  • The first bonus saves about 2.5 seconds over the top route and 3.5 seconds over the bottom route. It's best to jump before the last two bananas in the sequence to avoid getting banana blocked.
  • The jumps between carts don't make a huge difference but the best thing to do is to try to land into the left side of each cart. From 0:21 to 0:31 you can ride off the ends of the tracks and do small jumps up from the gaps. However, be aware that after the steep sloped gap at 0:38, riding off the track and jumping out of the cart midair will cause an "invisible wall" effect which prevents moving horizontally for a few frames. This loses time and can occasionally kill you. Therefore, from 0:38 onwards you want to jump before the cart falls off the tracks.
  • The bees at 1:06 are spooky, make sure to get big jumps to clear them.
  • At 1:14 falling further before jumping reduces the time you get blocked by the invisible wall, so it's best to fall as far as possible before jumping.

  • The first bonus is the same as any%, and the second bonus is self-explanatory.
  • For the third bonus, jumping out of the mine cart and turning left is pretty lenient and consistent, and will start moving you left as soon as possible so the strat is pretty normalized.
  • After exiting the third bonus, running right and rolling twice is counterintuitively slightly faster than turning back to hit the Gnawty.

EXTREME Risky Strat

  • You can roll off the platforms next to the tires, saving upwards of 3 seconds if you go for all of them. This is NOT frame perfect, however it is quite precise - once you step on the tire you won't be able to roll anymore, which is hard to react to and can lead to death.
  • Measuring from the video, each roll saves approximately the following amount of time:
    • 0:48 - 0.1 seconds
    • 0:52 - 0.3 seconds
    • 0:56 - 0.1 seconds
    • 0:58 - 0.1 seconds
    • 0:59 - 0.8 seconds
    • 1:02 - 0.9 seconds
    • 1:12 - 0.7 seconds
  • As you can see, the rolls through the Krashes are the most profitable.
  • This strategy should only be attempted by trained professionals.
