This level doesn't really have any skips or glitches, making it basically Trick Track Trek 2.0 but a bit shorter and harder.

Any%

  • This level can be played as either DK or Diddy, depending on what route is chosen for Manic Mincers. In isolation, Diddy is theoretically a tiny bit faster since he can jump off the platform slightly earlier, but otherwise the choice of Kongs makes pretty much no difference. The DK route is theoretically optimal in Manic Mincers and in the run overall, so DK is used for the demonstration video - for more details, see the page for that level.
  • The roll under the Necky at the start is a bit tight, simply bouncing on him is easier and only about 0.15 seconds slower.
  • When departing from the platform, you can take gravity glitch in order to allow rolling from slightly earlier, saving a small amount of time. Use visual indicators on the track to determine when to roll, and be aware that Diddy can roll slightly earlier than DK can.
  • At 1:03 it's possible to leave the platform slightly earlier, but if you stomp the Kritter too far to the left you won't be able to bounce across to the second platform. Therefore it's slightly faster overall to wait a moment so you can bounce the Kritter on the right side and cross directly to the second platform.
  • In the second half of the level, as long as you pick up all the fuel cans there shouldn't be any risk of running out of fuel - you don't really have to worry about picking them up in any specific way like delaying some and rushing others.
  • Some of the fuel can "puzzles" can be cheesed by simply jumping up to the can from the platform. For example, at 1:34, DK can simply roll-jump from the platform to reach the fuel can. Diddy won't make it - however, he can roll from the left side of the tire (demonstrated below).
  • You do not actually need to duck under the bee at 2:19, even as DK. It's not possible to go under any of the other bees.
  • Some parts of this level generate a fair amount of lag, in fact the lag frames can add up to over a second of time loss across the level. You can experiment with camera positioning to try to reduce lag in these areas.
  • Otherwise, have fun monkeying around with DK's hand slap and whatever other cool freestyle moves you can come up with.

  • Played with Diddy for demonstration purposes. Besides the bonus at the start, the level is pretty much exactly the same.
  • Since the ground slopes upwards in the bonus, the 4th barrel is theoretically fastest since you reach the ground fastest after touching it - if it loses. Be careful because the RNG is deterministic in this game and the 4th barrel was the winner in the current WR, so there's reason to believe it's unsafe during a run on pace.
  • Diddy's cheeses the fuel can at 1:46 differently. It's also fine to just bounce on the tire.
