A short cave level with no space to roll, this level is all about tight jumps. DK also makes a brief cameo.

Any%

  • The roll across the gap at 0:04 is a bit tight, you have to go far enough to clear the gap but not so far that you get a sloped roll. It's also fine to just jump here.
  • With a very precise roll it's barely possible to clear the oil drum without landing on the ledge on the side, but this is extremely difficult. Damage boosting on the oil drum is also an option since DK will be used later in the level, but landing on the small ledge is faster than the half second which will be spent picking up the DK barrel later.
  • The best place to swap to DK is at 0:18 so you can uppercut the Krusha to get up to the platform. There's no way for Diddy to clear the Krusha at 0:25 economically (not for a human, at least) and the Krusha at 0:27 is also an issue, so investing 1 second to switch to and from DK is actually worth it since DK is not that bad.
  • The camera lock at 0:22 is just a minor optimization allowing you to roll under the Mincer. It's fine to skip this camera lock and just jump over the Mincer.
  • The end of the level isn't really conducive to switch glitch but you can go for it if you really want to.

  • Switching to and from DK is free if you do it during the bonus reveal jingle. As long as you aren't holding the direction into the wall you won't enter immediately and will be able to switch.
  • The first bonus drops you off on top of Squawks. Hooray Squawks!
