Any%

  • Your goal in this level is to hit every Kritter except the first one.
  • Roll-walking at the start is slightly faster and eliminates the risk of jumping into the bee.
  • It's safer, but a few frames slower, to jump over the bee at 0:08.
  • Going down into the pit at 0:14 just means you get to spend a few more frames rolling. Floating tires will pull you up from quite far beneath them.
  • In order to jump over the bee at 0:18 you need to memorize its position, you will not be able to react to it. The safer option is to jump after hitting the second Krem, wait for the bee to move, and then go over it on the other side (or even go under).
  • Hold B through the first crawlspace so you don't get a buffered roll when you come out. Run forward a little bit before rolling, and then quickly push the tire through the second crawlspace to the moving platform.
  • The bee after the N can hit you if you're too fast.
  • It's possible to carry the roll at 0:30 into the pit but if you move too fast the Kritter will block the platform. You can camera lock to delay him so you can jump up and hit him immediately, but it is difficult and doesn't save much time since this roll needs to be reversed anyways to avoid the platform leading up to the Winky room.
  • Winky is about 6 seconds slower than optimal Kong movement, this gap shrinks for less optimized Kong movement, so he is viable as a safer alternative.
  • At 0:36 the most consistent way to set up this roll is to stand as far left as possible on the platform, wait for a brief moment and try to roll under the Kritter so that he falls down onto you. This allows you to recover stamina here and causes the hit and boost to occur slightly later and cover slightly less distance. This helps position you at the edge of the next platform so you can buffer a reroll through the next Kritter to cross the gap. If you roll directly into the first Kritter for maximum boost you will often find yourself rolling past the ledge at the end of the platform which means you won't get the second hit. You can also use a camera lock to approach this Kritter and hit him immediately, but it means you have to make a blind jump up to the very left edge of the platform which is very difficult.
  • At 0:44 you need to get a bit past the tire before starting the camera locked roll so that the reroll makes it under the bee and up to the tire. If you're too far left, the tire won't catch you and you'll fall into the pit. It's necessary to recover stamina on the previous platform since doing it here will cause the bee guarding the DK barrel to be in the way. Another approach to this section that does not use the camera lock is to recover stamina on this platform instead and then use the tire for a ledge extend.
  • At the end you need to do the reroll first and then use the stored extended roll second, if you do this in the wrong order you will usually end up on top of the tire.
  • Get a big jump to set up gravity glitch to roll off the moving platform, the jump is possible without it but much harder. A safer alternative is to just wait briefly for the platform to turn around.
  • If you took Winky, the last bonus is about half a second faster. Just keep running forward onto the moving platform and jump into the bonus, then mash A to fire the barrel immediately.
  • Otherwise walking briefly to recover stamina and doing two rolls into the goal is slightly faster than rolling and jumping.

  • Do not touch the troll bananas before entering the first bonus, they will delay the fadeout.
  • Hold right and B to run forward out of the bonus, and press B to roll under the bee as soon as you land.
  • Winky is not required, but the Winky room is. You may decide to take him for safety; he would lose less time in this category than in any% and makes getting to the last bonus much easier.
  • The setup to reach the second bonus with the tire is aggressive but consistent. You do a full height jump from a specific but not incredibly precise location to get on the tire and then bounce up into the bonus.
